OUTLINE PROGRAMME
The Private Marriage retreat is completely bespoke and tailored to your needs as a couple. We would normally arrange a pre-retreat zoom to understand what you are both facing at the moment and what you would like to achieve as an outcome from the weekend or mid-week stay. We would also send out a link to complete the Prepare / Enrich marriage questionnaire prior to the retreat. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.
Meet the Faciliators

Nathan and Deb aka the 'Laxtons' run Harker Grange in the beautiful county of Cumbria (north Carlisle).
Having been married for 30 years they have 4 children and 1 granddaughter. Together, they have held a 20 year vision to run a retreat centre to 'restore and develop' people - marriage support is a key component of this vision.
Deb has over 20 years experience as a psychotherapist working in a variety of settings such as the NHS, police, prison service as well as community and private practice.
Nathan has had a long career in the NHS as a project manager, but his real passion is learning Hebrew and finding hidden treasure in Gods Word through study.
Together, they experienced a break-through (well more of a revolution) in their own marriage 15 years ago which led to attending multiple marriage ministries and being trained in LAM facilitiators (spirit connection) training. They now have a passion to empower others with the skills and knowledge they have learnt over the years.

Why do we use Prepare / Enrich as part of the retreat?
Because they are the global standard
With a solid research foundation and wide applicability of the assessment, Prepare / Enrich has found its home in the offices of professionals and lay leaders.
Prepare / Enrich adapts and reacts to the changing reality of relationships through continued research and development of assessment versions and resources.
The reliability of the assessment and feedback guided by our Facilitators help couples strengthen and enrich their relationships.
Prepare/Enrich and its background structure FACES (Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale) continues to be one of the most researched assessment tools with over 1200 published articles supporting its validity and reliability.
Researchers and professionals across multiple disciplines regard Prepare/Enrich as one of the most effective tools in their professional toolbox.
